FOA Direct Program

FOA's direct program is for fiber optic technicians with a minimum of 2 years of current experience in fiber optics.

Reminder:
  • Apply for one certification at a time.
  • CFOT is a pre-requisite for most of the FOA certifications. You may need to apply for the CFOT first.
  • Certifications marked “extra documentation required” ask for additional field-experience and training detail.
  • Where an exam is offered in more than one language, pick the “— Language” version (e.g. CFOT — French).
  • Add your work experience.
  • Make sure to include your most recent fiber experience.
  • Make sure to include 2 years of fiber experience.
  • You can include up to 10 types of experiences — just use the “+ Add work experience” button at the bottom of the application.
